Meet Our Teachers

Dawei

Teacher

Dawei went from painting at a young age to later graduating from University of New South Wales, Art and Design (UNSWAD). After working for years as the creative director for a famous Australian game company, he quit to concentrate on painting and teaching visual arts. Besides teaching painting to young kids, he also teaches at a local university, as well as seeing much success in his one-on-one tutoring of HSC students.

Lyra

Teacher

Lyra graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, one of the nine major Art Academies in China. Passionate about art education, the students she has taught have been admitted to some of the most prestigious art schools of China and even the world. As an artist, her work has been featured at a number of art colleges, galleries and private collections.

Ayesha

Teacher

Ayesha started her career as a Visual Arts Teacher eight years back and has since taught at different levels, from primary to high school, focusing in mostly Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) based Art curriculums. She pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Arts, believing that learning is a never ending process. She had a love and passion for sharing knowledge with students, and in return learning from them. Her approach to teaching involves initially developing a student’s basic skills and applying learning through mix media and different creative processes.

Allen

Teacher

Allen is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Art and Design at the University of New South Wales, pursuing an intensive study in digital painting and exploring the feasibility and operability of multimedia art education. He has excellent practical ability, and his model artwork of Suzhou Museum won praise in the university art exhibition. In addition, Allen helps to provide children with leprosy with educational support. He loves to use painting brush to record everyday life, turning little things and emotional moments into beautiful pictures.

Ruru

Teacher

Ruru completed a Bachelor of Design (Honours) at the University of New South Wales, Art and Design (UNSWAD) in 2017 (Major in Graphic Design and Jewelry). Ruru is currently obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts (major in Design for Performance) at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), where she is also studying set and costume design for Theatre, TV and film. She has been a teacher with Shine Art Academy since 2016.

Tiffany

Teacher

Doris

Teacher

Doris graduated with a Bachelor of Oil Painting, Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University (one of the top ten fine art college in China), and a Master of Art Curating at the University of Sydney. She started learning drawing at 15, and has continued for 10 years, including four-years for professional oil painting. She is an expert in sketch and oil painting teaching, with over five years education experiences with children (4-11 years old) in drawing and painting, and teenagers (12-17) in acrylic painting. She is great at communicating with children and discovering their creativity and imagination.
